It’s good to see Bermudian organization like Chewstick constantly growing and developing while remaining grounded to their roots. For anyone who isn’t familiar with Chewstick, they’re a charity which started off a few years back as a place where poets, musicians and intellectuals gathered for open mic nights. They’ve blossomed into not just a charity organization, but Bermuda’s best promoters and a grassroots platform where any musician can practice, share and hone their craft. They continue to push out positive vibes and support the local arts in ways that no other entity can compare. A living testament to that is their annual Beachfest celebration which showcases amateur acts and draws thousands of people year after year.
